Passionate about double bass
An industrial designer by profession, I have become passionate about building double basses since 2004. By making my own double bass and by repairing other stringed instruments, I began the lengthy learning process of the art of building double basses.
Through my membership in the International Institute of Bassists (ISB) and the Violin Society of America (VSA), I met several violin luthiers of international calibre who are a continuous influence on my work. This collaboration led me to perfect my skills at the University of New Hampshire with renowned American luthiers.

Now entirely dedicated to the making of double basses, I am offering my services for repair, restoration and manufacturing of such instruments.

Tuning
A good adjustment includes fingerboard dressing, usually a new bridge with its optimized shape and a sound post check. These three elements are essential to reveal the full sound potential and playing comfort of the instrument.
Repair
Cracks, broken pegbox, loose neck heel, etc. Each of these repairs requires tools and repair techniques specific to the double bass.

Hybrid double bass
I developed an affordable double bass concept combining the warmth and natural sound of a wooden soundboard with the stability of carbon fiber.
Ergonomics
The specific ergonomics of this double bass allows the bass player to transfer onto the double bass fingering developed on the electric bass.
